Please let us know if you have more questions and we will further assist you. Local moves are performed on the hourly basis, and long-distance moves are done of a “not-to-exceed” flat rates.
After all details of our online quote are cleared, please reserve your move online. We require 100% of reservations to be submitted online to avoid possible mistakes in scheduling and addresses. We will reconfirm all details with you, and send a refundable/redeemable deposit request form. Once deposit is paid, rest assured that we will be at your doorsteps on the appointed date and time. Please familiarize yourself with our cancellation policy prior to your move.
All local moves are performed on the hourly rate basis, and each move is considered unique. Factors such as presence of stairs, amount of items, layout of your house and walking distance, etc. influence the service time and ultimately the cost of the move. We will work hard to minimize the financial burden, but unfortunately cannot guarantee any set amount of hours to finish your particular move.
You can do a lot to decrease the costs of moving. For example, if you are flexible enough, you can schedule your move on the off-peak date or even afternoon. Further, if you would like to save on packing materials and time that it takes to pack, consider purchasing the boxes and packing supplies from a local hardware store or U-Haul. Pack with diligence, because moving insurance does not cover boxes that are packed by owner. Finally, consider donating or discarding items that are not likely to be used in future.
We are insured in accordance with State of California regulations, but keep in mind that the complimentary insurance is limited to compensation of $0.60 per pound of damaged article. Also, if you refuse proper protection of your valuable furniture with moving pads and plastic wrap, we cannot be liable for scratches that inevitable without such protection. We strongly advise against saving by compromising on a quality of the work. On the other hand, if furniture is not valuable, and already dented, you may specifically request the lead mover not to wrap those pieces.
